At Mosaic Early Learning Centre, we believe in caring not just for children, but for whole families
We’re a boutique 52-place centre that welcomes children aged six weeks to six years. We offer a nurturing environment where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and community is at the heart of everything we do.
Our aim is simple: to help every child discover the best possible version of who they can be.

Our dedicated educators know each child and family by name, fostering real relationships and a sense of belonging. We intentionally create an inclusive environment, where children of different ages come together at various times of the day to learn, play, and grow side by side.

Every day is filled with opportunities for discovery. We might be enjoying nature one moment then exploring a book the next. Science in the morning, then an outdoor obstacle course in the afternoon. Whatever we’re doing, it’s always fun, safe, and engaging. Every moment is designed to meet learning outcomes and is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework.

Healthy bodies help grow healthy minds. Our children enjoy fresh, balanced meals prepared daily onsite by our professional chef. We have an amazing chef who makes delicious food that you can smell being cooked and baked each morning just for the children.

Nurture
Mosaic is a safe, warm, nurturing local community—a second home for our children and their families. Through meaningful relationships, we teach each other how to love, to be kind, courageous, resilient, and to respect others. During each child's Mosaic journey, our hope is to nurture their heart and mind that they may be equipped for the path ahead.

Educate
Our interactions, activities, and culture within the centre are influenced by multiple child development theories and a blended learning approach.
Collaborating with families, we provide learning opportunities where children excel in their development. We prioritise each children's interests, as well as developmental and cultural needs, in planning experiences where both educators and children continue to grow their knowledge about the world around them.
Additionally, our environments are curated to encourage exploration and curiosity, so children can develop their own ideas with endless possibilities.
Discover
Additionally, Mosaic is a lighthouse where we bring awareness of the significant changes in the world around us. We highlight the social geography of our community that provides more possibilities for learning and discoveries. As we continue to collaborate with our families and community, we aim for our children to understand the essentials of creating a sustainable society. Our community is blessed with diverse cultures. We aim for everyone to discover the beauty, appreciate and respect our differences, and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the Noongar Country on which we learn and play.
A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR DAILY ROUTINE.
Every day is a little different, but this is the basic structure that we follow.
We’ve had the same Authorised Provider (Janet) since we opened in 2012. Our Centre Manager (Anne) has also been here since we opened in 2012, and our Assistant Manager (Ellie) has been here for 5 years.
Our desire is for children, families and staff to flourish in an environment characterised by love and respect. This means our staff want to be here too!
7:00AM
The day begins.
Children begin to arrive and settle in for the day with a range of activities. For an inclusive multi-age start, we meet in the Toddler Room—a welcoming space to say goodbye to Mum, Dad or caregivers.
9:00AM
Transition to rooms and morning tea.
We pack away and move into our homerooms as we share what we've been doing, seen, and what we'd like to do. Next, we wash our hands before a yummy morning tea.
10:15AM
Morning programs begin.
The morning program changes daily and might include literacy, cooking, gardening, art, drawing, dance, music, modelling, construction, outdoor, fine and gross motor activities, and dramatic play.
11:30AM
Mat time.
We choose activities according to the dynamics of the day—maybe a story, puppet play, rhythmical drama or percussion session.
11:45AM
Lunch and rest.
We eat together and share what we've done in the morning. Children have a nap, while non-sleepers enjoy quiet activities during this period.
1:45PM
Afternoon program begins.
Morning activities may be extended, as well as introducing new activities and experiences.
Children who are still sleeping wake up when ready and join their friends.
3:00PM
Afternoon tea and free play.
We eat, have a drink, and chat about our day. Then, children are free to play.
4:15PM
Storytime.
And many other things like music time, group games, individual reading—or all of these!
4:45PM
Late snack, play and pick-up time.
A final light snack followed by free play until it's home time.
Fees & childcare subsidy.
Full Day Rate: $197 (7am – 6pm)
Half Day Rate: $98.50 (7am – 12:30pm)
Most families are eligible for the Child Care Subsidy, which can cover up to 85% of fees depending on individual circumstances. Our team is happy to discuss this with you if you need more information. We’re also happy to guide you through the process.
